During the process of packaging recombinant viruses, plasmid transfection is a critical step that significantly influences the efficiency of viral packaging. This kit is a virus packaging kit developed based on the CaPO4 method and demonstrates excellent transfection performance in 293T cells. <br/> The CaPO4 method was initially developed as a technique to detect the infectivity of viral DNA. The precipitate formed by CaPO4 enhances DNA's ability to adhere to cell membranes, thereby facilitating the uptake of DNA by mammalian cells and ultimately achieving transfection. Additionally, the CaPO4 precipitate helps protect DNA from degradation by DNA enzymes present within mammalian cells. <br/> This kit contains the essential reagents needed for rapid, simple, and efficient plasmid transfection of 293T cells. It can also be used simultaneously for packaging both lentiviral and retroviral vectors, enabling 20–50 transfections in a 100 mm culture dish.
